Matire Family | Palm Beach, FL

The Before:

Aaaand the after: aka eat your own cupcake

How we all really just want to eat a cupcake

This past weekend I had the privilege of photographing the Matire family and we had an absolute blast! We started shooting at 6:30 a.m. and got the amazing warm glow from the sunrise that as a photographer, I dream about. Carly brought balloons for the girls to play with and the colors and them running around just turned out so precious. A little more than halfway through, during their "portrait session", John decided to throw Carly into the ocean and it made for the most genuine, carefree and happy photos- something that as a photographer, I strive for. As if that wasn't enough cuteness for one morning, Carly brought the girls giant Publix cupcakes for the final photo and I've never photographed something so adorable.

This shoot is every photographer's dream: a fun family, beautiful light and of course, cupcakes.

Thank you guys for everything- it was definitely a shoot for the books. Now, I'm on to find out if I can print these as wallpaper :)

P.S. If there's any fellow photographers or aspiring photographers out there, below is the equipment that I used for this shoot. I'm a total Nikon girl :)

D750 (my absolute love- I'm obsessed) with the 24-70 mm f/2.8, sometimes with the Nikon SB-700 Speedlight

D610 with the 700-200mm f/2.8 (I used this pretty rarely but grabbed it when their daughter was running away with the balloons)

D810 with the 85mm f/ 1.8 (the most beautiful lens I've ever owned on an incredible body)
