Matire Family | Juno Beach, FL

Pumpkin spice fills the air (even though it's still 92 degrees outside) but fall for me means Christmas card shoots! I had the first one of the season a couple of weeks ago with a great family! You may recognize them from their shoot here and I'm so lucky to have become friends with them because they're so amazing, not only to photograph (go with the flow and up for anything!) but also such a genuinely nice couple with adorable daughters.

Anyway, enough gushing about them- we got up early on a Sunday morning and went to the Juno Beach pier for a sunrise shoot. We did their first shoot in Palm Beach- we wanted to keep the beach theme but adding the pier in the background added a different enough dynamic that the photos would all flow together on their living room wall while still adding a little diversity.

This was my first experience with a lot of props so here are a few pointers I learned:

1) kids + santa hats = the cutest thing ever

2) bring extra tape because you never know when one of the girls will decide she doesn't like the bow on the outside of the box and kick it off

3) Target does not carry Christmas wrapping paper year round but they do have pretty gold paper in the baby section (On that note, plan ahead because Etsy have anything and everything, especially for Christmas.)

4) Caution: kids playing in boxes on sand may topple over- sorry Skylar

Who says you can't have Christmas on a beach? I'm so excited for what the upcoming months with bring. Feel free to reach out and book your family Christmas shoot today!

PS. Stay tuned for a follow-up on this shoot because there might me a little something extra :)

xoxo, Christine

P.P.S: If you're interested in what camera equipment I used, it's listed below. I kept it simple for this shoot because I didn't have Ryan and I wanted to be able to run around with the kids.

Nikon D750, Nikon 24-70 mm f/2.8 , Nikon 85 mm f/1.8
